We went with Tui class and kereru class we went for outside doors, we went to Aroha island we went on a bus for 1 hour in 30 minutes.

Maitai Bay Brochure

Reflection:

What did I learned? that there are such things as goatfish.

What did I enjoy? I enjoyed listing what marine life is at Maitai bay.

What could I improve on?

I could improve on playing some of the games

Kiwi Can

Today at kiwi Can we learnt about Respect. We played 2 games, the games were Snap,crackle,pop and So,ma,ca,lo. The catch phrase was 'We will  Respect our school we will do it because we are cool'. The game we finished with is GKQ.

How did I show Respect today?

When I lost in a game I handled it well and did not cry. 

What did I enjoy?

I enjoyed playing all of the games.

what could improve on?

Trying to put more effort in when I am playing the games.

Trip to Te Puna Wai Ora pools.

Yesterday Tui class went to Te Puna Wai Ora pools and did a swimming session so next week we can go to Matai bay to see the marine life in the water like fish and stingrays.What we had to do was get in groups of swimmers that can swim and people that don't like swimming. Then we got in a pair with someone in your group, got a board and went in the water.

Refection:

What did I learn? I learned that puffer fish are dangerous because i never knew that.

What did I enjoy? Going for a swim in  Te Puna Wai Ora pools because it was fun.

What is one goal you have to with your ability in the water? Swim longer distances.

What do you like about swimming?

Waitangi trip

 W.A.L.T Upload our Waitangi trip and write about it.

On Tuesday Tui class went to the  Waitangi trip and we  learned how to do a lot of stuff on scratch.When we got to school we did the roll and caught a bus  when we left was at 8:30 and when we got there it was 10:00,when we got to Waitangi  they were talking to us for about 10 minutes and then we had some morning tea. We were taken around the treaty grounds to learn about Maori culture and then when we returned to the classroom, we had to create a scratch animation about our art projects back at school.

What did I enjoy?

I enjoyed  going for a tour because the stuff we saw was very interesting.

What did you find interesting?

I find the scratch that we learned interesting.

I enjoyed doing the game bang because when we played every one was honest.

What did I do well? I did well on being honest because when I got  out I would sit down.

Today we did kiwi can for the first time in a few weeks. At kiwi can we learned a new word Accountability (meaning: taking ownership and responsibility for your actions)and the games we  played were high tide low tide and also impossible connections. The catch phrase was: We are honest, We are true, We take ownership for what we do.

What did I enjoy? I enjoyed doing  high tide low tide game because if we got out we could have another round.

What did I do well? I did well on being honest because when I got  out I would sit down.

What could I improve on? I could improve on doing the dancing in the game impossible connections because I was not dancing much in the game.

What do you like doing at Kiwi can?

Cross Country

Last week our school did Cross Country and there was 1st, 2nd and 3rd awarded to the top three people. We did it in age groups, starting at the 5 year olds. All the people in the school were doing. While everyone else was running, the 9 year olds, (age group) did some art of yourself. Here are some steps 

1.get a A3 and dye the background with orange yellow purple also green

2.then wait for your paper to get dry and go to a black pease of paper and draw a person on there side and draw the ground and if you would like to you can do it n a A4 pease of paper.

3.After all of that you can glue it on your background.

Reflection:

What did i enjoy? I enjoyed doing the background because I was a little bit bad at the drawing.

What  did I do well? I think the background was what I did the best because I used circular motions and made sure I took my time.

What could i improve on? I think I could improve on cutting out my silhouette as I cut off my arm.

What did you enjoy about Cross Country?

Today i am uploading my geometric art  and here are some steps.Here is my penguin. 

1.chose and animal and draw it

2.put lines in the animal                           

3.chose a size of paper (A4 or A3 piece of paper)

4.colour in the lines in the animal 

5.get black paper and glue your animal on it then cut it out 

What did i enjoy?drawing the penguin because i like drawing.

What did i do well?the colouring in.

What could i improve on? the drawing and the lines.

Today I am uploading my Maths  poster and it was easy and fun to do in a book but the google drawing it was hard you should try doing a shape in your  maths book and doing  it on a google drawing.

1. get a big and small star
2. trace the big and small stars
3. put patterns and (don't do small patterns)
4. colour the patterns in 
5. cut the stars out
6. glue them on a black peace of paper 
7. with a ruler rule lines around the star 
8. cut the out line 
9. put your name on the back of your peace of paper 
10. then you are done

Hello,Today we had Kiwi can It was so fun we          played lots of games my favourite game was dodge ball,how you play you have 3 teams and we have to balance the ball on the back of our hand.

Today I Read Cancel the Invasion, then we did a really fun word search. I didn't do all of the words, I only some of them.
